Notes are digital notepads, and besides Sheets another tool for content on cannyboard. With Notes, contents become tangible and can be edited flexibly. Like their analog relatives, the Post-Its, they are easy and intuitive to use - but now digital and therefore much more versatile, flexible and powerful.
In contrast to Sheets, Notes can only be created on your own device (laptop / PC, tablet or smartphone) and then transferred to the workspace. How to create Notes.
What types of Notes are there?
1. Text Notes
With the Text Note, text content is displayed on the Workspace in no time at all and is easy to read. Text can be used in the form of entire Notes or used to label Sheets. They can be scaled, colored differently and duplicated. Learn more about the user interface of Notes here.
2. Media Notes
Media Notes bring pictures, videos, GIFs or PDF from your personal device into the Session. Once on the Workspace, they are then displayed in their original aspect ratio. Like Text Notes, Media Notes can also be scaled, duplicated or recolored. Additionally, the content can be rotated and displayed on the Sessionboard in full screen mode via Double-Tap. The following file formats can be uploaded to a Media Note:
- PNG
- JPEG
- GIF
- MP4
- MOV
- WEBM
Please note: For a good display quality on the Sessionboard (screen resolution 3840 × 2160 pixels / UHD) a correspondingly high resolution of the picture is necessary. The maximum file size for Media Notes is 250 MB.
This is how you can use Notes usefully
Notes at cannyboard have a great benefit. First and foremost, they are a helpful tool for preparing presentations or group work. Pictures and videos enhance every presentation and diagrams and explanatory videos are often an important part of it. Whether four-field matrix, timeline or bull's-eye: by arranging and pinning Text and Media Notes to Sheets, you can quickly create templates that you can further populate or edit in a collaborative group work.
With the help of Notes, all participants can quickly and easily contribute with their own device to the group work on the Sessionboard. The participants are not limited to working on a laptop, but can also participate flexibly with their smartphone or tablet.
