Connecting to Wireless Screen Sharing

You can share the screen content of your personal device wirelessly on the screen of the Sessionboard by performing the following steps

1. Connect your WiFi-enabled own device to the WiFi network provided by cannyboard (manually or via WiFi QR code).
2. Select the screen mirroring function on your own device.

Please note: On Windows devices Miracast is used as wireless transmission technology. It works independently of a network connection on your laptop, so you can skip the first step and directly mirror your screen on the Sessionboard.

Connecting to the WiFi network

Connect manually

1. Open the wireless Screen Sharing Widget from the Main Menu.

   

   Please note: Alternatively, you can switch from an open HDMI Screen Sharing Widget to wireless Screen Sharing.
2. The wireless Screen Sharing Widget shows the request to connect to WiFi.
   
3. Open the WiFi settings on your device and search for the displayed network name in the available WiFi networks. Click the network name.
4. You will be prompted to enter a password. Enter the network key specified in the wireless Screen Sharing Widget and confirm your entry.
5. Use the screen mirroring function of your operating system on your own device.

Connect by WiFi QR code

Some mobile operating systems allow an automatic connection to a WLAN network via QR code. Proceed as follows:

1. On your own device, open the camera (e.g. Apple iOS) or a QR code scanner.
2. Photograph / scan the QR code displayed in the wireless Screen Sharing Widget.
   

   

   Please note: Not every photo or scan function supports the automatic recognition of WiFi QR codes. Please refer to the operating instructions of your manufacturer or establish the WiFi connection by default using the WiFi settings of your operating system. 
3. If necessary, confirm the connection in a subsequent dialog.
4. Use the screen mirroring function of your operating system on your own device.
