The user interface of Screen Sharing

When sharing the screen content of your personal device, several operating options are available to you.

The Screen Sharing Widget

The screen sharing widget is a window that opens on the Workspace as soon as the screen sharing function is started from the Main Menu. The screen content can only be transmitted when the Screen Sharing Widget is open (exception: screen sharing in the video call on the laptop / PC).

Positioning and scaling

The Screen Sharing Widget can be moved and scaled on the Workspace in the same way as the Video Call Widget. Use the pinch gesture to scale the Widget on the Sessionboard and use the drag gesture to position it in the desired location. On the laptop / PC move the mouse pointer over the edge of the maximized widget and drag the window to the desired size. You can move the Screen Sharing Widget here by clicking and dragging.

Fullscreen mode

You can display the shared screen full screen on the Sessionboard. To switch the Screen Sharing Widget to fullscreen mode, you can select the corresponding button on the control panel or double-tap the Screen Sharing Widget. You can exit fullscreen mode with another double tap.

The Screen Sharing Menu

The Screen Sharing Menu can be called up by tapping the active corner at the top right of the Screen Sharing Widget.

• Close

  Closes the Screen Sharing Widget.

• Take snapshot

  Creates a snapshot of the content displayed in the Screen Sharing Widget. The photo is then available as a Media Note on the Workspace.

The screen sharing control panel

You can use the screen sharing control panel to select the desired image source or to switch between the sources. Activate the control panel by tapping the Screen Sharing Widget once.

Please note: The screen sharing control panel is reduced to the fullscreen option on the laptop / PC. Here you cannot choose between different image sources.

1. Source

   Select the desired image source for your transmission. In addition to wireless screen sharing or screen sharing via HDMI cable, you can choose to share another user's screen as soon as they share their screen via the video call widget.

2. Volume

   When you show audio or video elements on the screen of the Sessionboard via Screen Sharing, the sound is output through the speakers of the Sessionboard. You can control the volume using the slider on the control panel.

3. Fullscreen

Please note: You can also select the image source Wireless and HDMI using the corresponding buttons in the Main Menu.
