You can share the screen content of your personal device wirelessly on the screen of the Sessionboard. First, open the Screen Sharing Widget on the Sessionboard.
Depending on the operating system of your device, there are different methods to synchronize your screen content with the Sessionboard:
Please note: Always check with the manufacturer of your device for the latest manuals for your model.
Mobile devices
iOS (via Airplay)
- Your iPhone/iPad searches the local network for devices with which it can share the screen. For this reason, you must first connect to the local device WiFi (e.g. via QR code).
- Open the Control Center of your device. On the latest devices, swipe down from the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap on "Screen Mirroring".
- Select the Sessionboard from the list.
Android
There are numerous mobile devices from different manufacturers that work with the Android operating system and yet are operated differently. For this reason, the function of screen sharing is explained using an example. Please read the respective manual of the manufacturer and model for your device.
Samsung Galaxy (via Smart View)
- Pull down from the top of the screen to display your quick settings.
- Tap Screen Mirroring or Smart View or Quick Connect. If none of these is pre-installed, then download an app from the Galaxy Store or the Google Play Store.
- To connect to the Sessionboard via Wi-Fi Direct, select "DIRECT-XXXXX (serial number of the Sessionboard)" to mirror your phone screen.
- Tap on "Start now" to confirm the screen sharing from your device.
Computer
macOS (via Airplay)
- Your Macbook searches the local network for devices with which it can share the screen. For this reason, you must first connect to the local device WiFi (e.g. via QR code).
- Click on the icon in the menu bar at the top right of the screen
If the icon is not displayed, go to the System Preferences of the Apple menu and then to "Displays" and to "Show mirroring options in the menu bar when available". Make sure that the Sessionboard is selected in the "AirPlay Monitor" drop-down menu. - Select the Sessionboard from the list.
Windows 10 (via Miracast)
Please note: Your Windows notebook is capable of Miracast as wireless transmission technology. This is a "peer-to-peer" wireless standard that works independently of a network connection on your laptop.
- Open the Notification Center at the bottom right and click "Connect". If the tile is not displayed, click "Expand" first. Alternatively, press the Windows Logo key + P and select "Connect to a wireless display".
- Select the Sessionboard from the list.
Windows 11
- Press the Windows logo key + P, then click on “More Display settings”. A new window opens, scroll down until “Multiple displays” and click on it. Click on the button “Connect” next to “Connect to a wireless display”.
- Select the Sessionboard from the list.
Chrome OS
- Connect the iPhone / iPad to the WiFi network provided by cannyboard.app
- Click the control menu in the bottom right corner of your screen (near the clock).
- Select “Cast devices available”.
- Select the Sessionboard from the list, then select the content or screen you would like to mirror your Chromebook display.
- Then select “Internal Display” from the Google Cast window.
